She is Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona (UB) and Head of Studies on Human Nutrition and Dietetics in the UB. Her teaching is focused mainly on dietetics and dietotherapy between other subjects and she is coordinator of a UB Teaching Innovation Group basing its task on innovation in Practical Nutrition. Her research is focused on the effect of dietary patterns or foods on the prevention of chronic diseases (aging, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative diseases) through the study of biomarkers in targeted and non-targeted metabolomic approaches. She is author of 91 publications in JCR journals (Web of Science h-index 41). She has participated in more than 15 competitive research projects, including 3 international (JPI – HDHL, COST).
